I'm hooked, Laura. I can see the people and the scene. Great dialogue. One teeny suggestion - the IBS reference/image kinda bumped me - and I thought maybe the black hole Ellis referred to could be Jiffy's kitchen sink full of crusty stuff - or a chronically overflowing trashcan or someting..Keeping the shittiness in her life metaphorical. :-)
